Destruction, plotting, his Apocalymon form
Dislikes:

Appearance:
History:
Once, he was Apocalymon, a Digimon created from the data of every single Digimon who perished within the realm of Azulongmon, without having managed to evolve. As such, his very existence was one of pain, envy and misery, and he longed for nothing more than to allow every single lifeform the "pleasure" of living a dark existence, as he had been forced into. Luckily, however, he had been sealed away, presumeably by the Four Sovereigns.
However, thanks to the Dark Masters, Digimon of his own creation, Apocalymon was freed, just in time to encounter the Digidestined; the same children who had been defeating the Dark Masters all this time. Before they could even hope to defeat him, he instantly de-Digivolved the Digimon to their most basic level, destroyed their Crests, and deleted both the Digimon and children.
However, the Digidestined realized that they didn't need their Crests to use the attributes they represented, seeing as they each represented each attribute the crests showed. Thus, they were able to return to their strongest level, and returned from the Data World, much to Apocalymon's surprise. After a grueling battle, Apocalymon decided to annihilate the entire Digital World with his final attack, which would turn his very being into an explosion on par with a supernova. Thankfully, the Digidestined contained Apocalymon within a field their Digivices created, allowing him to blow himself up, with no harm done.
However, rather than destroying him, this sent him from Azulongmon's realm to Zhuqiaomon's realm, where he was still alive, though incredibly weakened. From there, he learned of a new Human World, which he intended to Bio-Emerge into, so he could spread chaos and destruction upon humanity. However, an Omnimon was ready to destroy him before he could commit this deed, and with him weakened after his battle with the Digidestined, he couldn't simply delete or de-Digivolve the Royal Knight. Enraged, he turned into Mephistomon in a last-ditch attempt to destroy Omnimon. This failed, however; though he managed to Bio-Emerge anyway.
Later, he masqueraded as the President of VP Laboratories, Ryuuji Tamashiro, marketing a creature known as the V-Pet, which he had edited to ensure that other Digimon would Bio-Emerge as well, which he could lead as an army. However, the original creator of the V-Pet, Takehito Uehara, discovered the virus Mephistomon had created, and made a vaccine with the original V-Pet, letting it manifest as a Seasarmon.
Intending to find this vaccine, Mephistomon sent his servants to kidnap Uehara, so he could learn of where the vaccine was located. Once he figured it out, he discarded the Tamashiro disguise, and attacked Seasarmon, who was being protected by the Tamers. During a long battle, Mephistomon pulled the group into a realm he had designed on his own, which would mirror the Real World once he was done with it.
Thankfully, Growlmon managed to land a lucky blow on him, by blasting a ship that crashed on top of Mephistomon, which seemingly destroyed him, and allowed the vaccine to take effect. However, enraged by his failure, Mephistomon Dark Digivolved into Gulfmon, losing all sense of self, as he viciously attacked the Tamers. It took the combined efforts of WarGrowlmon, Rapidmon and Taomon to finally destroy the gargantuan Digimon...
...but, of course, thanks to all these anomalies these days...
