@lucas@
He walked through the caves with Glaceon and others... heading to New Mauville to begin their training...
@glaceon@
"Glacia... Glacia..." She grunted, pacing beside her trainer after they got off a boat. The entrance to the cavern was located on an island in the middle of a lake and only people with official connections with the Pokemon League can enter it...
Thankfully, the Nurse Joy of Slateport is joining with them...
@lucas@
"New Mauville..." He hummed, writing something on a notepad. "Electric Pokemon live there as it's a power plant, kinda like the one in Kanto where Zapdos use to live in, if I recalled a book correctly..."
@glaceon@
She glanced up at her trainer, confused.
@lucas@
"Electric Pokemon is kinda infamous for bring the only element type of the seventeen to have one weakness... they're weak to Ground-type attacks... the other 16 usually has two or more weaknesses..."
He scratched his chin. "...but, Electric-type Pokemon are strong against Water and Flying Pokemon... so, it'll be difficult to raise my Croconaw and Pidgeot... and I wonder if Little Miss is planning to raise her Piplup... or was it a Prinplup now...?"
@glaceon@
She sighed as she kept on walking...

@wally@ "Really? Aren't Normal types weak to only fighting-types?"
@jun@ "Yeah, but aren't super effective against any type!"

"That's true." Joy nodded, as she led the group towards the cavern. "Even so, one shouldn't just look at type advantages when they train their Pokémon; in the hands of an expert, even a Normal-type Pokémon could be a fierce opponent." "You don't say..." "...wonder what we're gonna find in here..." Akira hummed to himself. "We'll just have to find out for ourselves." BlackAgumon mused.

@dawn@ "So we're actually going into some electric plant?" she curiously asked.

@lucas@ He glanced at Platina. "I guess so... Nurse Joy said it herself back in the Pokemon Center..."
"You could go to New Mauville. It's underground, just east off Route 110. You just need to cross the river, and you'll find a cavern leading down there."
"It's a power plant, that was originally meant as a shelter in case Mauville City was ever invaded. Nowadays, wild Electric Pokémon live around there."@lucas@ "It's not surprising Electric Pokemon would live in a power plant..." He admits. "The most common Electric Pokemon would be..." @magnemite@ " ...Magnemite and Voltorb..." @lucas@ "Same goes to their evolved forms, Magneton and Electrode..." He said, looking thoughtful... before gulping... @glaceon@ "Glacia...?" She blinked, confused at her trainer's expression. @lucas@ "...you know, to be honest... while I don't mind Magnemites, Pikachus or Elekids... I'm worried we might bump into Voltorbs or Electrodes... because they tend to... um... blow up... and there's the problem that Voltorbs are mistaken as Poke Balls..."

@jun@ "Please, any pokemon expert can tell the difference between a Voltorb and a pokeball!" Barry laughed, rubbing under his nose with his index finger.
@wally@ "... We're dead, aren't we?"

"... very yes." "Oh, you guys worry too much. What could possibly go wrong?" ...you'd be surprised. Joy thought, as she kept leading the gang into the plant.

@lucas@ "Hey, don't disbelieve Pearl like that... I'm pretty sure even he can tell the difference between a Voltorb and a Poke Ball..." He said, trying to stand up for his friend... @glaceon@ "<Indeed... especially as he learned not to juggle with them, throw one of them on a wild Houndoom, kick one, throw one to the floor thinking it has Chimchar... to be honest... I've lost count after 50...>" @lucas@ "You said something, Glaceon?" He asked as they went around a corner and... "Oh! I think we're here..." It was a large, metal door on a steel frame, looking imposing... apart from it's dull, grey feature... it has a symbol on top of it...

@dawn@ Looking over the symbol, Dawn curiously tapped it.

PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSH!!!!
The symbol looked like it went into the door before it clicked and slowly opened up...
@lucas@
"Uh... question answered..." He blinked. "What was that symbol anyway...?"

@wally@ "Reminds me of a badge." He said, walking into the building.
@jun@ "Who would make a giant door to look like a badge?" Barry asked, walking into the building.

@lucas@
"If it was a badge, then... maybe it's a Gym Leader?" He asked as he and Glaceon followed. "Does Mauville have a Gym there...?"

"Actually, yes." the nurse nodded. "That was the Dynamo Badge; given out by Wattson of the Mauville Gym." "...puns..." Ymmu noted dryly, rubbing his head. "...I don't get it." "Maybe that's for the best..."
