"Iji! Iji, calm down, it's me, Dan. I'm in a control room in the middle of the complex, but I can see you through the cameras. There's a lot to explain."
"Bro?! Can you hear me?"
"Keep your voice down! Yes, there are microphones in these speakers, but you shouldn't talk or the Tasen could hear you. I can talk as much as I want - I use all the speakers at once, and I don't think they understand any human languages."
With the mons group, who was walking cautiously down a corridor...
"Dan, who are you talking to?"
"Oh, crap, I guess there is a downside to that. Iji, there's another group I'm talking to right now - they're apparently from another universe or something, but I don't know the full details. Anyway... As far as I know, we were all visiting this place with dad, as he works here. All of a sudden, an alien spaceship bombarded the area around this place with a space-to-ground weapon called an Alpha Strike, then they came down and killed nearly everyone inside. That's why I'm stuck in this control room. They're called the Tasen, and I don't know why they invaded this complex or if it's possible to make them leave, but I'm trying to find out - and I need your help to do it."
"Y, you're lying! That's -" Iji took a step back, horrified.
"Calm down, and listen. It's been six months since the Tasen invaded this place. Since then, a team of researchers trapped in here tried to study their Nanotechnology, to find a way to stop them. They managed to make a cyborg soldier out of the only suitable survivor they could find, using the Tasens' technology. You are that cyborg."
"N, no! Y-you're just making this up! It's just a dream, isn't it!"
"Iji, calm down!"
"NO! I..." She suddenly collapsed...
"IJI!"
"What the hell just happened?!"
"Nanotechnology... Great. What is this, Deus Ex...?"
"Iji's gone into shock. It'll take a bit of time for her to calm down. In the meantime, you'll need to get to her. Problem is, there's a few Tasen patrols in the way. You'll have to eliminate them."
"Eliminate... As in... K-Kill?!"
"Oh, no way, buster."
"I know it's not gonna be easy, but it's them or us. They've been killing every human they see. Iji and I are the only ones left."
"Well, so much for searching for survivors."
"I suggest we use non-lethal force. What's our enemies' capabilities?"
"They're Tasen Scouts and Soldiers. Lightly-armored, both have machineguns, but the Soldiers have rockets."
"Looks like we'll just have to-"

"<INTRUDERS!>"
Several Tasen troops rounded the corner, pointing their guns.
"Scratch that, TAKE COVER!" He snapped, as the group immediately took cover behind crates littered about. He took pot shots back at the Tasen.
"<YEOWCH!>" One of them groaned, as he was shot in the leg, going down. Much to Rush's surprise, it took several hits to actually damage him.
One of the soldiers fired a rocket...
Which Ashe narrowly ducked. "WHOA! Watch it, pal! WHIPPIN' WAVES!" She summoned a wave of water...
Which smashed the group of Tasen into a wall, nearly all of them knocked out.
Except for one, who had ended up hiding behind the corner. "<HOLY SH->"
"TAKE THIS!" He suddenly delivered a Digisoul-charged punch to the soldier's head, knocking him out.
One scout was still conscious, and on his back - the one who Rush shot in the leg. "<Oh, crap... Don't kill me! Please, have mercy!>"
"We ain't gonna kill ya, private, calm down. Let's see what we can do about that leg..." She came over, and started applying first aid.
"Is it me, or can only the mons understand what the Tasen are saying?"
"Must be the nanofields the Tasen have."
"I say we make sure the poor bastard ain't gonna die, and leave 'em."
"They'll alert the other Tasen, though!"
"It's either that... Or killing him."
"Then let's get moving. We've still got to rendezvous with Iji."
