@rayquaza@
"...let me see..." With a small hum, Rayquaza reached down to Emerald, lightly tapping his forehead.

Emerald closed his eyes, as Rayquaza touched him. The Legendary would discover that it was the same gem that scientists had attempted to use as a substitute for the Jade Orb that had been undiscovered at the time, and simply thrown away as they believed it was worthless. However, over time, it had lost its power... But, Emerald's determination had re-ignited that power.

@rayquaza@ "...interesting..." At that point, Rayquaza's eyes flashed, before the gem actually emerged from Emerald's forehead, the markings fading away. "...he pulled it out?" @rayquaza@ "...any trainer worth their salt, if they were determined enough, would be able to harness this jewel's powers." Rayquaza began, as he observed the gem. "...though this is not an artifact to be taken lightly. Had this been within you during a moment of weakness, you could have lost your mind, young one.""...lost his mind?" @rayquaza@ "Such was the fate of the fools who attempted to harness the powers of the Red and Blue Orbs; Maxie and Archie, leaders of Teams Magma and Aqua..." Then, he closed his eyes. "...the latter who you would recognize by the name Guile Hideout, young one."

"Wait, for all this time, I've been carrying the third counterpart to the Red and Blue Orbs?" And when Rayquaza mentioned you-know-who... "So that's how he was driven insane..." "The fact that you could control its power without losing your mind speaks quite considerably of your abilities as a trainer, Emerald." He chuckled at the compliment. "I was wondering what Josh meant... That my bond with my Pokemon wasn't strong enough. Once upon a time, I really did bond with Pokemon, they acted as my arms and legs because, well, you saw. Because of my pride, I forgot about what it meant to really bond with Pokemon... Now I know what kind of bond Josh had with Vyle. They were more than just trainer and Pokemon, they were friends, partners... Their bond was unshakable." "A commander who respects and cares well for his subordinates will gain the loyalty and admiration of them." He chuckled. "Some of the greatest commanders in history had such loyalty from their troops that they would follow them to hell and back." "Yeah... In such short time, it's amazing how I've learned so much." Emerald looked back up at Rayquaza with a smile.

@rayquaza@ "...good to see that someone's enthusiastic." Rayquaza chuckled. "But be aware; all the knowledge in the world doesn't matter, if you lack the experience to back it up." As he spoke, he held aloft the Jade Orb. "Had you attempted to try and catch me, as you said was your original intention... more than likely, the orb would begin to tear at your mind. You were lucky to realize that strength comes not from the infamy of a Pokémon, but the bond one shares with said Pokémon.""...guess we sort of lucked out, then." Chie sighed in relief. @rayquaza@ "...now, I would advise you to head home. I have a feeling the orb brought you here by accident... you do have Flying Pokémon with you, right?""...actually, I've only got Fighting Pokémon with me."

"And... I can't fly, either." Beat. "Great. Just... Just great. And even then, we don't know where to find the D-Sphere trainers." "Uh... We'll think of... Something."

"...hm... troubling." With a hum, Rayquaza glanced down at Gastly. ...you wouldn't be able to find some Pokémon who could fly these young ones to the mainland, would you?"

"Well... When we do attack the Dark Masters... You'll be there, right?" Emerald asked the Legendary. Then something occured to him. "Um... Is it possible for you to remove that power from the gem? I kinda wanna keep it. As a memento, to remind me of what I learned here whenever I look at myself in the mirror and stuff." "Not a bad idea. Besides, it looks cool on you." "Emerald... About your height..." Emerald turned around, smiling. "I don't care about what people say about my height. Sure, I'll keep the gear I use, because it's useful, but I'm a great trainer in my own right. Who cares if I'm short? And if these tools aren't enough... I have my Pokemon to help me." "That's the spirit, dude!"

@rayquaza@ "...hrm..." Humming, Rayquaza looked at the orb. "...depriving it of its power would be a lengthy process; it could possibly take years for that to happen.""...so you can't give it back?" @rayquaza@ "...perhaps this will suffice as a substitute?" With a hum, Rayquaza scraped a small part of a broken pillar off, before he began scratching it, before... @kotemon@ "What did he do?" Kote called from Adachi's Digivice. @rayquaza@ With that, Rayquaza handed what he had worked on down to Emerald; with a few minutes work, he had cut the small part of the pillar into an exact duplicate of the Jade Orb. Aside from a small glow within the real deal, they were virtually indistinguishable. "I do hope you'll find this as a proper substitute, young one."

@gastly@ Floating back, "No pokemon, but he can do."
@bakemon@ Out from the floor, Lord Bakemon rose, though a midget when compared to the legendary in the sky.

He accepted the gem, managing to attach it to his forehead as if it had always been there in the first place (with a little glue, of course). "Thanks!" He recalled Peckmon into his Digivice, and climbed up onto Lord Bakemon. "I guess we'll just have to take what we can get." He did the same, chuckling. "Heh, riding a ghost seems weird, but..." They climbed up onto Lord Bakemon as well. As he climbed up, he noted, "I guess we'll just have to go to Professor Birch's lab in Littleroot Town. We might be able to contact Hypnos from there."

@rayquaza@ "I wish you luck in future endavours." Rayquaza hummed. "Hey, thanks!" Chie chuckled, as she got on Lord Bakemon as well. @rayquaza@ "...Gastly." Then, Rayquaza glanced down at the Ghost Pokémon. "May I have a word with you once our guests have left?"

@gastly@ "Yes sir!" The spirit nodded.
@bakemon@ Grumbling a spiritual cry, the giant ghost took off into the air, and into the sky.

He held on tight. "WHOA!" "I should get a flying-type Pokemon of my own..." He rubbed his chin. "Altaria... Or maybe Tropius or Skarmory...?" "We'll have plenty of time to think about that." Souji replied, as they rode the ghost up and away from the Sky Pillar...

@rayquaza@
"...what a lively bunch." Rayquaza chuckled, before he looked back down at Gastly. "...now, as you may or may not know, I've tried instructing Groundon and Kyogre to work together for the task I've thought of... so tell me; do you know of more visible threats to our world that need to be dealt with?"

@gastly@ "Other digimon threats sir, namely this Myotismon and his cohorts, along with this new army from a digital world just opening up." Being connected with the spirits, they tell him much.

@rayquaza@
"...hrm... threats keep popping up all over the place. Even with Aqua, Magma, Cipher and Galactic dealt with, we still have Rocket to deal with... along with that other organization..." Shaking his head, Rayquaza growled. "...as much as I respect Arceus, his policy may lead to a greater downfall than even he could imagine."

@gastly@ "He, along with Palkia and Dialga do tend to step in at great crisis, when these mortal heroes can't (like stopping a snow fall on a town). Though, they tried and stop this new universe from entering, sadly they failed." Shaking his head, "Of course, stopping these Dark Masters could be one of these tasks that require the service of deities like yourself, my lord. From the history these digimon have, they aren't like those two Mamemon-twits causing trouble."

@rayquaza@
"...though, it troubles me." Rayquaza growled. "Our world is being threatened by so many forces, and Arceus cannot lift a finger to help, unless it's something humans absolutely cannot accomplish." Then, the serpentine dragon sighed. "...he may be afraid that humans become too reliant on us if we keep helping them... but I would prefer that, instead of seeing the earth, sea and air crumble because of our neglience."
