Cerulean City: A Brand New Day

A day can bring a new start, a beginning of another cycle. The light that embodies it pours through the world, shining on all life.

Rising from her bed, a red head girl yawned, stretching her arms. "Jeez... feels like I've been sleeping for so long." Misty said. Rubbing her head, she slipped out of her bed. Her feet in slippers, she went to the first thing she does everyday.
Great her pokemon.
"Mornin' guys!" She smiled at the pokeballs on the self. Inside through the dome, the pokemon beamed smiles at her greating. Misty looked at each one with pride, and then bewilderment at one ball.
"What's this?" She asked, picking it up. It was like a pokeball, though blue like water. It had a mark similar to her gym's badge, at the same time it had a screen and a few buttons, something normal pokeballs don't have. She can't put her finger on it, but... it looks familiar.

"For the last time, Diamond... you're staying in Kanto for a while to do Pokemon research and see the world!! Resting and eating is not good for youngsters like you!"

He moaned as he sat at a chair, speaking to a video phone of Professor Rowan in Sinnoh. "But, Professor... I can't remember agreeing to this... in fact, it feels like I've missed a lot!"

"You're over 10 years old and already, you've got memory losses?" He rolled his eyes. "Give me strength..."

@lucas@

"I don't even remember ever catching a Croconaw or a Dratini..." He added. "Can't I have Blastoise and Lucario back?"

@rowan@

"No... knowing you, you'll try and use Blastoise to use Surf and come back here!" He said. "Thankfully, Pidgeot is too smart to fall for your tricks... so, you can keep her..."

"Great.... traitor..." He sighed.

@rowan@

"Now, I want you to take good care of Croconaw and Dratini... capture new Pokemon and fill up that Pokedex." He added. "Oh, and you'll be allowed back to Sinnoh once Croconaw has evolved... same with Dratini, but as a strong Dragonite!"

"But, that'll take ages!"

"I know. Good luck." And he signed off.

He sighed as he looked down. "...do you always have a feeling that we've missed something big, but cannot figure it out?"

"Glacia..." She agreed... Lucas' faithful Glaceon was sitting beside him, also confused on what was going on... did they had a strange dream all together...?

And what is that strange device Lucas has that he hasn't noticed yet?

"...now just where did I get one of these...?" And he was observing said strange device curiously; tilting his head as he rubbed his chin. "...curious..."

Its still early so the gym was closed. To start of the day, she heads for the pokemon center for her favorite drink. One she gotten used to after traveling so much with Red and Brock.
"Just what is this thing?" Misty hummed, still fiddling with the ball in her hands.

"Hey, hey, Blue!" Said a cheerful voice...

...belonging to her as she stepped into view with a grin. "Whatcha doing...?"

"Nine!"

He looked at Glaceon, kneeling down at her. "Did you... had a weird dream... last night?"

She nodded. "Glacia."

"...huh... so, I'm not insane...? Good..."

"......" Yeah, she didn't want to know how he came to that conclusion...

As she walked into the pokemon center, her eyes was still drawn to the strange sphere. Since she didn't watch where she was going, she accidently bumped into Green and Blue. "WHOA!"

Well, more into Green; Blue was sitting down at the time. "...oh, hey Green, Misty." he said with a nod to the two of them, before he glanced back at the device he held. "...just trying to figure out what this is." he remarked.

Pushing Misty back with a scowl, she glanced at Blue. "...you too, huh?"

"Sorry..." Getting back up, she was holding her sphere. "Wait, you both have one as well?"

"...seems like it." Blue remarked.

At that moment, one of the TV that were on chimed a tune and the screen displayed a news program.

"What do you mean, Misty...?" She asked. "...wait, you mean...?"

Blue hummed, as he glanced towards the TV screen.

Holding up her blue pokeball-like object, she was facing the TV.



"Good morning, and welcome to another edition of 'Pokemon News Flash'. Our top story is the on going discussion about the Digital World."

That made the girl totally forget about the ball for a moment. After recent events, its almost what most trainers know about. Namely after a few failed attempts to capture what they thought was once a talking pokemon, also because of the rampage they cause around the world and that they can reach levels equal to legendaries.




"For years the Digital World and its inhabitants, the Digimon have been kept secret t the public. Cover ups were made on events like the Digital World appearing in the sky the first time or sudden 'Bio-emergence'. Though just one year ago, events got to massive to contain and the truth was let out."

On screen Misty watched videos displaying events from around the world just a year ago; Lost digimon wandering around their world, some just cause destruction while others were defending themselves by some trainers. The other videos were worse, as the knight digimon group themselves together, working for digital deity as they war upon the real world before the digital world can fall through the rift. What might be the worst would be the red blob slowly eating away a city.




"Thankfully, these events were contained by a group of children similar to trainers, only partnered to digimon. They are mostly stationed in Tokyo, where a majority of the digimon events are held. For several decades, this area of Japan was ban from using pokemon from the result of the war. Though due to recent events of the digimon attacks, the ban has been discussed with government officials to be lifted."

"In other words... we Pokemon Trainers will be able to visit Tokyo..." She hummed.

"Tokyo?" He perked up. "What Tokyo?"

Blue hummed curiously at that.

"Its a metropolis just north of Kanto. For decades, pokemon weren't allowed there... until now."



"As mentioned, Tokyo is protecred by invading digimon by parneted digimon, known as Digidestined or Tamers. Those chosen and align with the government belong to a group called DATS. Contrast to becoming a trainer, the methods of a human becoming partnered to a real digimon is rare ands with the exception of those of Data Squad, are chosen by a deity source. This leaves a majorty of Tokyo with little defence. With us is the man who brought forth this bill, Mr. Kamikura Jousaki."
