Good old Pewter City, nustled on the other side of the Viridian Forest. Known for places like the Museum and the local pokemon gym, where trainers get the Border Badge from it's gym leader. "See, what I tell you?" Yellow smiled as she popped out the forest with Chu, "A short cut!" Oh it was short alright, but the trainers had to go through mud, Beedril nest and thorn bushes to come here.

Sakura trailed behind Yellow, a twig in her light brown hair. "Next time, I'll take the long cut." she mumbled, half jokily. "Shi-hi-hi-hi-hi!" laughed Shinx, who was under her trainer's white hat. Whilst the others endured the furious Beedrills and the pricks from the sharp thorn bushes, Shini had rested peacefully under Sakura's hat. Because of her trainer's complaining, Shini couldn't resist a giggle.

"Sorry bout that!" Yellow giggled, "I've been here before so I know where the Gym might be. Don't worry, I won't take no short cuts!"

"Nah, that's okay. It was fun. Alrighty then, let's get going!" Sakura chirped, walking into the city and heading for the gym.

(Time-Skip) "Here we are!" Yellow smirked as she knocked on the door, "Hello!" And right that second, the doors began to slide open. "If it was night time, this would be creepy..." And walking down a hallway, was a young mid-age boy with squinted eyes. "Hi, I'm Forrest! What can I do you for?"

Sakura shrugged at Yellow's comment, but straightened up once she saw Forrest. "Uh, hi! I'm Sakura, and that's Yellow. I'm here to request a battle with the gym leader...um...are you him?"

Meanwhile, outside the outskirts of the city, one would see a light beam within the cracks of the pine forest.
@rika@ A brilliant light beamed out of a tiny cave, under some trees, while a young girl with such a cold face walked out. Dragging a man over half her size on the ground like a pillow, one would think she wield terrifying strength. "Hmph...THIS is a freaky island?"
Rika spotted a small town, on her right, just behind the trees. It seemed more like the real world than maybe the Digital World.
@renamon@ Stepping out of the light, Renamon looked at her paws. She can see the card effect already gone, so she had no way to restrain the man. "This is not the Digital World."

"Wah..." The grunt stuttered in dis-belief, "We're in Pewter City! What the hell man?!" But seeing that he's now free, he smirked as he ran off into the forest. "So long freakos!" He shouted from behind the bushes. ----- Back in the pokemon gym, Forrest nodded. "Yep, that's me, This way!" "I thought the Gym Leader was older!" Yellow commented as she and Chu followed. "My older brother Brock was the leader till he decided to become a Pokemon Breeder and possibly to find a girlfriend... Well, here we are!" And Forest lead to the group to a large room filled with rocks.

Sakura gazed at the ring. "Wow...well...guess this is it. Ready to lose, Forrest?" the trainer challenged, stepping into the ring. Shini stepped behind Sakura, already knowing that she wouldn't participate unless needed.

"Oh whatever, that loser was no help, anyways." But the question now was ... where were they? That guy said something called 'Pewter City'. So ... this town must be it. But she never heard of a Pewter City. It does sound like an American name so... ...maybe they're in America. As Renamon stared at the town outside the forest, she glanced at her little Tamer, waiting for her plan. "So...any ideas?" Rika turned back at the cave. She can still see the dimensional rip, revealing the tunnels back in Shinjuku. They can leave back to their city anytime they want. However... Rika can also see a bolder by the cave. "Renamon, help me move this bolder in front of the cave. We can't let any other creep like that loser get into our city." Going up behind the bolder, the fox used her might to push the bolder. Barely she could, as it rolled too steadly for Rika's taste. "Ugh...where's...the help?" "In a card!" Rika swiped a strength card through her digivice, seeing the results in action. (Power: +2 / -2 Defense) With increased strength, Renamon easily rolled the bolder right in front of the cave. "Whew...I was defiantly not built for strength." "Heh...maybe I should give you a training exercise to fix that, huh?" A tiny smirk played under her snout. "We better get started." Nodding, Rika marched over to the town while her Digimon faded from sight.

Back in the Gym, Forrest made a thingyy-grin to Sakura. "No, you'll lose! This will be a 2-on-2 pokemon match, so it's best 2/3. Go Geodude!" and tossing out the pokeball, was a foating rock-head with arms. "Let's see..." Yellow said as she got out her poke-dex. -- Geodude Stage: Basic Type:Rock/Ground Species: Rock Pokemon Found in fields and mountains. Mistaking them for boulders, people often step or trip on them. When traveling uphill, if it encounters a raised step, it cleverly hoists itself up and over using its two arms. The longer a Geodude lives, the more its edges are chipped and worn away, making it more rounded in appearance. However, this Pokémon's heart will remain hard, craggy, and rough always. HP: 20 Power: 11 Mental: 3 Speed: 1 Defense: 5 Tackle: Charges into foe Defense Curl: Raises Defense by 2 Rock Throw: Tosses a Rock -- "It's a rock-type Sakura, I don't think electric types would be effective here!" "Pika..." Chu pouted.

"So the best choice is...Lapras, I choose you!" Sakura selected, sending out a large, blue pokemon with a shell. It looked similar to a turtle. "Lapraaa!"

The city of Pewter seemed more like a small town. A very small metropolitan area, only with small buildings, but the rest seemed like a country suburban. And as Rika strolled down the street, she saw what she couldn't believe... ...humans and 'Digimon' coexisting peacefully. She saw old ladies watering flowers while a small blue radish Digimon holding the water pitcher for her. Rika saw little children running around a playground with purple rats running with them...and their parents didn't seem to mind. Heck, she even saw a police officer near a shopping plaza, accompanied with this tiger Digimon. If America agreed to some peace treaty, she would've heard about it. Maybe this place was a secret town or something? Well, whatever it was, Rika kept seeing the name Pokemon around. Pokemon Marts, Pokemon Schools, Pokemon this, Pokemon that. Was this Digimon famous or something? Well, that wasn't important. Rika still have no leads, no idea on where to start. How will she find out what was causing those strange portals?

"Very well, then et's start! Geodude, TACKLE ATTACK!" "Geodude!" The pokemon grunted as he charge to Lapras. [dice=11] -------------- "Hi!" A young boy in a boy-scout uniform greeted Rika, and beside him was a mouse-like creature with spines on his back, like a dirt-hedgehog. "My name is Camper Jerry and I'm handing out these pamphlets of the Pewter City Gym!" The kid said as he showed Rika a paper of the local building, and details about the pokemon league.[rand=2978391408194308604534421351428269450350902411119958258579338707478]

"Dodge it!" [dice=9] Lapras moved out of the way of the charging Geodude. Without consent, her sent a stream of water at the rock-type. "La...pras!" [dice=7][rand=9637263540763195538766370338958290364327822948192649900611079948]

@rika@ There's that word again. And looking at this flier...
'Pokemon League; don't waste you trainer talent. Test your strength against eight of the best Pokemon Trainers in Kanto for badges. Trainers with eight badges can prove their worth against others to be the Champion eligible to battle the Elite Four.
Put your foot to that first step to greatness by battling Pewter City's gym leader; Forrest.'
@rika@ "Uh...thanks, kid," she muttered, walking past him.
Pokemon...it didn't seem like a Digimon, as people were treating it. It's almost like ... the people here called Digimon...Pokemon. Jeez, Americans are weird.
Something was up in this crazy town, so maybe she should visit this gym to see for herself.

"Defense Curl!" Forrest commanded "Geo..." The pokemon complied as he held his arms together as he glowed. (Defense +2) [dice=7] And the water bounce off the barrier that was formed. "TACKLE!" And the pokemon released the barrier as he charge to the other pokemon again. [dice=11] [rand=94352303300292456268875294713072593183992354552807607599270880666]

[dice=9] Once again, Lapras managed to avoid the charging pokemon. "Lapras, use Sing!" Sakura instructed. A soothing song escape Lapras' mouth, which aimed to make Geodude fall asleep. [dice=8] (If you can beat the roll, then the song doesn't affect Geodude. If you can't...he's asleep)[rand=8967945380571896889819713357847592177456187637721299405464933185]

@rika@ From the directions the flier gave her, this building must be the gym. Yup, made up of bolders and everything. "Correction...I landed in the Flintstones."
She wasn't sure if coming here would help her, but it's better than nothing. With a deep breath, Rika walked through the path, leading to the building ...
...jumping off her feet when a light-post burst a bulb. "Sheesh! Don't they fix things here?"

[dice=5] But Geodude wouldn't be able to defend against that attack as he began to fell droozy and fell asleep. HP: 20-5=15 "Geodude, WAKE UP!" Forrest shouted, but the pokemon still snored. Asleep for [dice=7] turns[rand=429844097386065440555164251927817731001141332500065927330876777853]
