Mt. Silver - Unexpected Company

Mt. Silver. Said to be the fiercest challenge any Pokémon trainer worth his or her salt would ever have to face, this used to be where a certain former champion would isolate himself, rarely ever getting anyone challenging him up on the mountainside.

This day, however, he was not there. While he could be just about anywhere in the world, the wild Pokémon living in the area were still stronger than in any other place in Jhoto or Kanto.

But that wasn't going to stop a certain collector of rare rocks.

Stepping out of the mouth of a cave somewhere near the top of the mountain, the former Hoenn-champion wiped his brow in exhaustion. "That was an experience I won't soon forget..." he muttered, as he looked at the landscape around him. "I ought to get to the top soon. There's bound to be some stones worth adding to my collection up here."

Though he would find something rather strange heading to a peak of a mountain. A group of...bats? Though their bodies seemed more humanoid...and a couple of them looked even more human-shaped.

Blinking, Steven squinted to try and get a better look at the bat-like creatures. "...strange. They're reminiscent of bats, but their physiology doesn't match any bat-Pokémon I've ever seen..." Noting this, he folded his arms. "I wonder who they might be..."

The 'bats' swooped around the mountain, heading for a part that seemed almost like a piece of a rocky castle.

@boogeymon@ The Boogeymon sailed in the cavern, landing one by one like in a runway...

@phelesmon@ With Phelesmon floating over them. "I was able to warp reality around this mountain to create the caverns like you're inside a dark evil castle. It was easy; I tricked one of the Boogeymon to sell his soul when he wanted a dark evil castle..."

Floating next to Phelesmon, Myotismon chuckled. "With any luck, there should be stronger versions of these Pokémon-creatures located on this mountain."

Looking at where the 'bats' were landing from a safe distance, Steven blinked. ...I've read about Mt. Silver before, and I've never heard any talk of a castle around here... but what are those creatures? They don't seem like Pokémon, that's for sure...

@phelesmon@ "Oh we seen some strong looking ones around here. They say this area are homed by some strong creatures, oh Great One."

@boogeymon@ The Boogeymon forced the Koffings to move like they were slaves...or pretty much are, while some carried the Magmar down the hall.

@tsukaimon@ A pack of dark Patamons, Tsukaimons, fluttered past them, heading for the two demon leaders. "Wow, you got him?! This is Myotismon?" Glancing at the vampire, the Tsukaimon shuddered. "W-whoa...d-don't hurt me..."

Glancing at the Tsukaimons, Myotismon frowned. "...tsch." Even though he knew that they were completely different Digimon entirely, the mere sight of them reminded him sorely of an actual Patamon... in particular, the one who helped defeat him years ago. "Don't tell me that your only followers were Boogeymons and Tsukaimons." he said, giving Phelesmon a look.

...what are they talking about? Steven thought; even though he could faintly hear them, it wasn't enough for him to make out anything they said. ...I could move closer, but I'd rather not stir up unwanted commotion...

"Uh..." The devil merely coward behind his wings. "Is that a...um...p-problem? But hey...the Tsukaimon are excellent spies under the shadows. That's one thing they got going."

"Heeeey!! We got hundred things going for us!"

"Yeah!" another spoke with a rather deep voice.

"...no, it's not a major issue." Myotismon replied to Phelesmon, shooting the Tsukaimons a look. "But in comparison to my former army... it looks like we'll be relying on Pokémon more than I expected."

...Pokémon... and an army? Having heard those select words, Steven began moving a bit closer to the scene, still keeping himself hidden. Steven Stone, what have you stumbled upon now? he thought.

"Awwww maaaaan..." the creatures pouted.

"Yeah!" chimed the deep voiced one.

"SHUT UP!!"

"Uh..." twiddling his fingers, "Well then I suppose we should show you the coffin room." Grabbing a Boogeymon from the 'river' of Boogeymon. "You!! Show the Great One to the coffin room."

"Uh...s-sure..." He rather not. He was afraid the vampire would blast him to atoms for no reason if he had his back turned on him.

"...coffin room?" Glancing at the Boogeymon Phelesmon had picked out, Myotismon smirked. "Hm. You've got me interested. Show me the way."

...yeah, those are definitely not Pokémon. Steven thought, as he had gotten close enough to be able to make out what the creatures looked like. I suppose the one looking like a vampire is the leader here... but what's their purpose? Are they some new team wanting world dominance, like Aqua and Magma?

Unlike the other internal halls, this roomed looked like a church...a rather dark evil church where only the most vile would dwell...like Myotismon. A red carpet, between a row of gold candle posts, led to a black coffin.

Myotismon eyed the coffin with great interest, approaching it and observing it in great detail. "...I think I could get used to staying here, after all..." he chuckled.

Back outside, Steven was contemplating the situation. Demon-like creatures, and they're talking about an army and Pokémon... he thought, as he tapped his forehead. I should contact Wallace about this. Since he's the champ, he's bound to be able to talk with the other Leagues about... whatever those guys are planning.

@boogeymon@ "Well I hope you like, um, s-sir. I'll leave you to get used this room, and stuff." he carefully sneaked away, hoping not to set him off.

Meanwhile, just by the cavern entrance,

@boogeymon@ "And then I said 'Attention Tamers!!'. Man you should've been there!" a Boogeymon told, as it and two more fluttered toward the outside.

Noticing the three Boogeymon exiting the cavern, Steven got to thinking. ...but before I contact Wallace... I think I need to know a bit more about what those creatures are planning. Then, as he began sneaking back to the slope leading into the cave he had exited earlier, he picked up a sizeable rock and hurled it in their direction, before quickly taking cover, waiting for someone to follow him.

@boogeymon@ "Huh??" Seeing the rock fly over them, the Boogeymon snapped around, looking for the ones who threw it. "Betcha it was those damn Tsukaimon."

@boogeymon@ "Man, I hate those winged hamstermons. Ya think Phelesmon would have any use for those snots, other than clean his suits."

@boogeymon@ "That's the only thing they're good at." Shrugging, the Boogeymon continued walking down the halls.

Looks like I got their attention... Steven thought, as he picked out another rock. But I'll need a bit more. Then, making sure he remained hidden from sight, he threw it at the Boogeymons.

@boogeymon@ "OW!!!" Rubbing the back of his head, where the rock hit, the Boogeymon glared back at his path. "Dammit you winged rats!! Quit it!!" He roared, marching back to where the rock came from...even though he had no idea where.

...winged rat? With a shrug, Steven noticed that one of the Boogeymon were attempting to trace where the rock had come from. Hm... hook, line and stinker. he thought, a satisfied smirk on his face. Then, making sure that the Boogeymon would see where it would come from, he threw a third rock at him, before taking cover. Soon, I'll have my answers.
