Shinjuku (Tamers): Not another day...

The life of Rika Nonaka was like any other day ... for a Digimon Tamer.

Being the pariah of her school (an all girls school), Rika was ignored by her classmates in school, being talked behind her back, and even being teased...by those who asked for a death wish. Strange, after her battle against the D-Reaper, most people knew about her and her friends, despite Hypnos' efforts to keep them low from the media. She didn't care, heck she hated it, but she was popular amongst the school girls. But like most fads, her popularity faded, and she was back to status quo.

She was glad....but she never admit it, even to herself, she enjoyed being noticed.

But people like them were a waste of time. She has real friends; those who fought along side with her against Digimon and the D-Reaper...but right now, they're pretty busy.

But that too doesn't matter, for she was finally out of school for the weekend (Even though Japanese people only get Sundays off) , so she was off her stupid school uniform, and into her regular clothes, with the blue shirt and the blue heart on it, and packed with her deck, and of course, her D-Arc.

It was time to look for challenges...Digimon challenges.

"Hi Rika! A giggle from above laughed, and landing on the girl's head was Calumon with his perkiness.

Just what I need... Rika wasn't much in the mood for any cutesy stuff today, and certainly not from Calumon. She knew what the little guy would want...to play. "Oh...hey, Calumon." Sliding the door of her room to a close, Rika walked down the porch by her mansion's garden. "Can you get off my head? Today wasn't the time for me for being perky."

Yeah, like she's ever perky.

"Ok," Calumon laughed as he floated beside the girl, "It was all nice, soft and cushy though!"

"I'm sure..." she muttered, entering the indoors of her mansion; the living room. While making a bee-line toward the front door, she can spot her mid-aged grandmother at the corner of her vision. "I'm going out, grandma!"

"Okay!" she responded, distracted by her work with the flowers around the living room. "Just keep away from the giant monsters."

"No promises!" Rika slid her feet in her shoes and bolted out the door.

The woman sighed. "Of course.....just make sure she doesn't get into too much trouble, dear."

Appearing from thin-air, a tall humanoid fox stood by the woman. "That's what I was made for."

And she faded away back into the shadows.

"hey guys, wait up!" Calumon whined as he tried to flap his ears after the two, "I'm not as fast as you!"

Charging through the empty, wall surrounding street, Rika did not hear the little one. She pondered what destination she'll take, the most likely places for bio-emergence. Usually, they happen all across town; nearby where most of her friends live. Sadly, she has no money to take the subway.

But she knew another way to cut through all that noisy and messy traffic.

"~Huff!~ I shoud join Takato when he runs around that building thingie!" Calumon panted as he glided trying to catch up to Rika.

"Ah, the storm tunnels..."

Standing in front of some wall, behind some trees, was a large sealed entrance to the storm tunnels. They used this place to hide their Digimon when they were stuck in the Champion, or above, forms, and also to get around the D-Reaper. It's a little creepy and dark to venture through, but there wasn't nothing much Rika was afraid of.

"It dark in here..." Calumon whimpered as he followed. Suddenly a fog began to rose, but the strange thing was....the D-Arc or Renamon won't be able to detect data from it.

[AnT]

Snorting, Rika still strolled through the tunnel. "Oh quit being a baby. I mean, I know you're-"

Rika jumped to a halt when the thick gray fog emerged from the floor. It was no riddle; it was a Digital Field. But the one thing she was puzzled was that her D-Arc didn't detect it...not even Renamon.

"Renamon, why didn't you warn me?"

The tall humanoid fox became clear from the darkness. "There's something wrong with this field. I detect no Digimon ... it's almost like this isn't a Digital Field."

[Alien-Child]

"Ugh....please tell me we're out of that place!" A voice grunted, and was followed by a screeching sound of a bat. "Hurry up and get rid of this FOG!" And the bat-creature seemed to comply as it flapped it's wings revealing it to be a eye-less purple bat, and a human who wore a black uniform with a red R.

"Well what do you know!" The man snickered as he saw Rika and Renamon, "A trainer! After being lost in that hell-hole, it'll be good to capture a Pokemon to bring to the admins. Surrender it kid, or face our wrath of Team Rocket!"

[AnT]

"...." with a blank look, Rika looked at Renamon, with her lips cracking to a grin. "They're kidding...he's kidding, right?"

With narrow eyes, as she crossed her arms, Renamon stared at the group. "It's hardly funny."

Rolling her eyes, Rika then frowned at the gang. "Did we run into a Digimon movie shoot or something? Cuz if it is, it's Tamer, genius!"

"I ain't joking kid, Zubat!"

"Hmph!" In a flash, Renamon just phased from the bat's path, reappearing behind it.

As lame this fight seems ALREADY, Rika was curious about the bat creature. Never have she seen a Digimon like that. But that's a job for her D-Arc ... if it would show something on the holographic screen. "Why doesn't it show me anything about no-eyes?"

Taking a small leap back, glowing shards revealed around Renamon. "DIAMOND STORM!!!!" And shot right at Zubat like a number of bullets.

"ZU!" The pokemon cried as he got hit big time.

"Zubat, Leech Life!" The trainer commanded, and the bat shoot out multiple seeds onto Renamon.

But at the moment she saw the strange bat shoot out those glowing strings, Rika quickly swiped out a card, "Digi-Modify!!!" through her Digivice. "Speed, activate!!"

With swift dancing steps, Renamon bounced around the seeds, gaining closer to Zubat. Leaping right at the fluttering bat, Renamon threw her aura-coated fist. "POWER PAW!!!"

"WHAT?!" The Rocket grunt shouted as he saw Rika just made her 'pokemon' faster, and cringed when he saw her attacking Zubat.

Feeling weak, the only thing the pokemon can do was shoot out more Leech Seeds.

It was as easy as jump rope to Renamon as she bounced away from the seeds, taking to the air.

"DIAMOND STORM!!!" And unleashing another barrage of shards.
